Introduction

India is no longer known as the "country of snake charmers," but this rapidly expanding economy has a lot more to offer. It is a multicultural country with a fascinating fusion of religions, languages, customs, significant regional distinctions, cultures, and many more. It is said that one experiences a change in language, customs, and traditions every few hundred kilometers.

Culture is a set of strongly shared basic precepts that a particular group has created, discovered, or developed as it learns to deal with issues related to internal integration and external adaptation. These precepts have proven successful enough to be passed down to new group members as the proper way to perceive, think about, and feel in relation to these issues. (Schein,1991). Organizational culture is the tacit or explicit acceptance by an organization's members of certain patterns of behavior (Schein,1990). Culture and organizations examine how culture can impact an organization's structure, corporate culture, methods for managing its workforce, and the function of the organization’s leader.

In order to manage human resources successfully for the benefit of the individual, society, and company, several actions are used and that is called human resource management (Schuler, 1995). India's workplace culture has seen a tremendous transformation as a result of Western influences over the years. Another major aspect is technology, and as it becomes more pervasive, it is affecting how people work today and, consequently, how HR will develop in the future.
